In short, the Coronary Heart Decease Risk calculator estimate a patient's chance of developing a heart decease within the next 10 years. It calculates a patient total points according to its Age, Gender, Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Blood Pressure and other factors and then it compares it to the data colleted in NHLBI's Framingham Heart Study and outputs the results. The application is so simple to use that both Doctors and patients could download it and benefit from it.

Live animated graphs represting the patient's risk, average-risk and low-risk populations are drawn simultaneously as the parameters are changed using the sliding knobs on the screen.

This application is a suitable tool for Doctors to educate their patients on maintaining a healthier heart and preventing future cases of coronary heart deceases as much as possible.

As an added value, an RSS feed aggregator on this application is also delivering the latest medical news about the coronary heart deceases from multiple news sources to the user.
