Update: This event is over and It was loads of fun! You can see the pictures here . We've had about 120 people attending. There was a ration of 3 to 1 female to male. Hopefully more ladies will be attending these types of events in the future. Vancouver Joomla Day reports will be published soon. We would like to invite you to join us for the Canada's largest Joomla! Day hosted at the Vancouver Public Library located in the downtown Vancouver in the beautiful British Columbia. This whole day event is held on June 14th 2008 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Joomla! CMS is one of the most powerful Open Source content management systems (CMS) on the planet. Joomla! is easy to install, simple to manage, and reliable to use. The new version of Joomla (version 1.5) is an ideal platform for building corporate websites, Intranets Social Networks, and web applications in general. The new Joomla! 1.5 unique Architecture provides more CMS capabilities than most web application development frameworks such as Symfony and CakePHP, and more framework than many content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal. |

Update: This event is now over. Click here to see the pictures Come and Drop by for a casual and friendly get-together. We are arranging another AIR/Flex/Rails workshop event on Wednesday March 19th. We’ve invited a few people to discuss their insights working with these technologies. Peter Armstrong (http://peterarmstrong.com ) will join us and talk about his new released book “Flexible Rails” (http://flexiblerails.com ). Flexible Rails is the term Peter uses to describe the integration of Adobe Flex with Ruby on Rails as the back-end. Flex supports building powerful graphic user interfaces while Rails simplifies database integration. Peter is also having a full-day Rails/Flex workshop on March 31st. He’ll be talking about that as well. |
